I got away last weekend for a little bookbinding and art journaling retreat with Kiala Givehand and Tiffany Goff Smith! So much fun! And so thankful for something not so far away! This was in Pensacola at Kiala's studio. Kiala is a wonderfully gracious host, and Tiffany is hysterically funny. The first day we created a couple books with Kiala, including this one. But first we got crazy with gelli printing so we could include some of our gelli prints in this book. I had done a little bit of gelli printing before, but nothing this extensive, so I really enjoyed this! I'll be playing with my gelli plate more now trying to really get the hang of it.
For this book, we used a large sheet of bristol board for the cover, painting it with two colors and a credit card. Fun process. Then we sewed in the signatures using our gelli prints and plain white drawing paper. I'll share more art journaling spreads from this journal as I create them! Trying to get back in the blogging regularly groove!
On a little side note, since this retreat was in Pensacola, I got to take in a Pensacola Blue Wahoos game Friday night (great little stadium!) and meet up with a good friend for dinner Saturday. Great weekend! Took a little selfie at the game! Thanks for stopping in today!

Oh, I'm jealous that you got to go on that retreat! I had plans already when I learned of it. But, it sounds like you had a good time, and your journal is a beauty. I can't wait to see how you fill it!
