Ready to get back to Free Bling Friday!? I'm changing things up a bit! I'd still love for you to visit my shops (here for jewelry and here for photography), but each month, I'm going to give you a question to ponder instead of picking a favorite item!
April starts wedding season in these parts, and I'm photographing a wedding on the 20th and another one next month. To get your name in the hat for these lovely aqua crystal earrings, share with me your answer to this question: How do you know when you've met "The One"? Along with your answer, include your location and a way to reach you by midnight May 2. Want more entries? Tweet, blog or Facebook this giveaway and leave another comment with the link. The next winner will be drawn via random.org Friday, May 3.

For me it was knowing I'd rather have him driving me nuts forever than to not have him at all.

I knew because we had so much in common. He made me laugh, we always wanted to be with each other and his little habits didn't bother me! We became best friends and more:)
I'm not sure what made me think he was "the One" - we had a lot in common, but he was much more outgoing and much older. But we've been married for 17 years, so something went right :). Wisconsin sweepluv09 at gmail.com
We just really clicked from the beginning.
And when I think about it as I write this, something in my gut just tells me he is the one.

Beautiful stuff in your shop by the way :)
I knew when I realized that "home" no longer meant my parents' house; it meant wherever he was.

I have no idea I have never met anyone special, just a bunch of jerks.

I know when I meant the one, when he prove to me that he loved me unconditionally. I'm reminded that each time I pour my guts out to him, he listens and loves me, he holds me and doesn't judge me and in his eyes, I can do no wrong. I have always wanted someone who would look at me and love me, flaws and all.

I knew I met the "one" when he put me first from the very first date and he has ever since. Colorado reejen at comcast dot net

I believe "The One" is still looking for me...I am divorced since 16 years and a single since then...So "The One" needs to be a strong man, to handle my independence, my wish of free space and of course my desire for romantic:)
I am looking for "The One" too...and when I know that the butterflies are dancing in my stomach, when I feel lonely just when I hung up the phone talking to him for an hour, when I get up and have the brightest smile in my face, because I know I will see him for dinner...yes, then I know he is "The One".
I wish I could tell you when you know it is the one. I have had to many not the ones but could be the ones to even know the answer any more. I could give you tons of answers others have given me, but I don't know so I won't act like I do. :) ambrerose at(aol)dot(com)
i know i've met the one because it drives me crazy not to be with him for any amount of time and he's one of the only people i've opened up to

I finally understood what people meant when they talked about 'the one' and 'soul mates'. I felt like I found the person who fit me completely and the comfort and happiness I felt was something I'd never experienced before.

For me, knowing I found the One meant throwing out the window everything I thought I was looking for and choosing to love with all my heart.

It didn't dawn on me until he told me, "Every girl deserves flowers on Valentine's Day" on our first official date. We'd been friends for months at that point.

How did I know when I met the one? The one… person, place, or thing? How about, how did I know when I met the one who would change my life? I was employed at a Midwest animal shelter when Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast. This is a nationally recognized shelter, and I knew we would be dispatched to assist in the animal recovery efforts following the assault of Katrina. Upon arrival, we were heartbroken to see the displaced animals, yet enlightened to see the number of animal lives saved by the dedicated staff and volunteers serving the area. I was tasked with behaviorally assessing over 40 dogs we were asked to transport back to the Midwest for their stray holding time—over 60 days. One of the dogs I evaluated, a Golden Retriever mix, showed some signs of food aggression. She was severely underweight, so I was not too concerned. I was, however, concerned with her severe fears: objects moving through the air, men, and loud noises. I knew this dog had suffered before the Hurricane, and I was happy we would have the chance to help her.
Once we got all ninety animals back to the Midwest shelter, we had a great deal of work to do, including: daily care, medical treatments, spay/neuter surgeries, attempts to locate owners, and eventually adopting the remaining animals out to new homes. The Golden Retriever became my shelter project dog, and a volunteer named her Delta. I worked with Delta everyday—first just getting her to eat—then working on her fear issues. Her fear of men was truly heartbreaking, and it made it difficult to work with her outside of very controlled settings. I started taking her with me to the prisons, where I directed inmate/dog-training programs. During this time, I suffered a huge blow to my personal life. I was turned upside down, and there were days I did not know how I would get back on track. On some days, I did not know if I could even make it into work. Then I remembered that Delta was there waiting for me, so it was imperative that I go to work to spend time with her. Eventually I got through my personal struggles, primarily by focusing on Delta. I could not wallow in my personal Hell while I had her to care for. Months after my life had started to turn around; a coworker asked how I was able to get through my challenges. It was then that I knew I owed it to Delta. As humans, we like to think we “save” the animals; however, this is not always how it works out. In this case, Delta was “the one” who saved me, and I am honored to have her as my family.

Pray pray pray. I believe that God will make it clear to you.
He must be a Christian and of course, you must also.
For me, it was the feeling that I knew this person already. He was easy to talk to and I felt so comfortable with him. Also, we had the same sense of humor. I am in Lafayette, Louisiana! lebl9077@bellsouth.net

I knew my husband was "the one" when I realized there was nothing I could do to make him break up with me and nothing he could do to make me want to break up with him
hrfarley at gmail dot com
For me I new my husband was the one by how much he loved my son from a previous relationship and how no matter how mad he can make me at times I never feel true hate for him. I'll be pissed but I know deep down I still love him. reached at unklechantel@yahoo.com
It felt like no other feeling ever. Wanting to be with him all the time.

Your earrings would be perfect for our son's fiance'! I know that I have found the "one" because we share the same morals, ethics and basically, we wanted the same things from life!
Many thanks, Cindi

I am not the one to ask the first time I ignored him. Then I was just plain mean and just wanted to be friends for years...and finally we are dating three years now..sometimes I think you don't know till you just KNOW.
